Head Librarian Receives Honorary Certificate

The director of Khazar University’s Library and Information Center, Tatyana Zaytseva, was nominated for the first annual international “Award for Open Access.” The award is sponsored by the Electronic Publishing Trust for Development, which supports scientists and publishers in developing nations in order to improve open access to research publications (epublishingtrust.org). The award is intended for individuals who have made contributions to open access in their home countries by developing institutional repositories (e-libraries) and e-learning projects.

Out of all the candidates who were nominated from 17 countries, Ms. Zaytseva was selected as one of three nominees to receive an honorary certificate for her contributions to open access. Her name is now listed on the EPT blog. We congratulate her on this recognition and sincerely thank her for her work in developing the Khazar University library!
