Meeting with Representatives of the Yahad-in Unum Organization
On February 21, Patrick Desbois, the president of "Yahad-in Unum" organization which is headquartered in France, Director of the organization Marco Gonzalez, research scholar Andrey Umansky, and representative of the European Azerbaijan Society Raksana Mammadova held a meeting with students in the Khazar University Marble Hall.
In giving background information about their organizations, they stated that various events regarding the activities of "Yahad-in Unum" had already been held in many countries around the world. The main purpose of their visit was make Azerbaijani public aware of historical events related to Jewish people and inform the world community about the tragedy that befell the Azerbaijani people in the past century. They answered the students’ questions. Vice President for International Affairs at Khazar University Farda Asadov and Director of Public Relations and Media Alovsat Amirbeyli participated in the meeting.
