New President Elected for the Student Assembly

On April 25^th, presidential elections for the Student Assembly were held at both the main building of Khazar University and the downtown School of Economics and Management.
 52.95 percent of the student body voted. As a result of the election, 2nd year student of the School of Education Aysel Tagiyeva collected 82.04 percent of the votes and was elected President of the Student Assembly. The other candidate, student of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences Shemmed Nuri, collected 16.87 percent of the votes. We congratulate the newly-elected president of the Student Assembly and wish her success in her future activities.

Meeting at "Dunya" (World) School

A meeting among the school director and physics, mathematics, geography and history teachers was held at "Dunya" School.  Initiatives aimed at increasing the quality of education were discussed at the meeting. Students who received bad grades were also approached individually to investigate solutions to their problems.  Proposals on the issues discussed were made and recommendations were given.

End of Semester Concert to be Held

Charity Campaign Ended

As was previously reported, the students of “Dunya” School organized a fund drive to provide help for families in need. The students, who very enthusiastically joined the campaign, visited needy families in groups and brought them clothing, food and financial help. The fund drive ended successfully. We would like to thank everyone who participated.

Gift from Schlumberger Company

The Schlumberger company presented Geoquest Systems B.V. programs such as Petrel, Techlog and OFM to the Khazar University Petroleum Engineering Department’s “Modeling Petroleum and Gas Fields” laboratory with the goal of developing an even more fruitful modern computer technology base for the department’s scientific research and educational processes.

Performance of “Conversation of Fruits” in “Dunya” School

 The 6^th grade students at “Dunya” School prepared a performance of M. Fuzuli’s work “Conversation of Fruits” and performed it for their fellow students, who watched the performance with great interest. The students’ smooth performances and the various fruit costumes they had created were memorable.
