Student Enrollment
Students from Baku, the capital city of the country, different
districts of Azerbaijan, countries of the former Soviet Union, Middle
East, Africa, India, Pakistan, South Korea, Europe, North America
and other countries represent various continents, races and cultures.
Khazar University has a total student body of approximately 1700.Of
them, 54.4% are males and 45.6% - females. 20% of the students are
pursuing graduate studies. International students constitute about
15% of the student body.
Faculty
About 200 fulltime and adjunct faculty body, which includes renowned
experts and scholars, business leaders, lawyers of national and international
reputation, artists.
Special Programs
Special programs include area studies programs, research opportunities
and exchanges with different leading universities worldwide, continuing
education and extension programs.
Calendar
The academic
year runs from September to June and is divided into two semesters,
Fall and Spring. Summer semester is not compulsory for students, but
is important to complete courses for acceleration and to earn extra
credits.
Extra Curricular Activities
There is a wide
range of clubs and organizations for students and faculty at Khazar
University, which organize sport, musical and cultural activities.
