On February 9, 2007 a round table was organized at an International Press Center with finacial support of the Centre for Economic and Business Research and Education, Khazar University and the Educational Centre of Sasakawa Peace Foundation (Japan). This round table was conducted within the framework project on “Strengthining Macroeconomic Forecasting Capability in Azerbaijan”. The representatives of the State Statistical Commitee, Wold Bank and other organizations, as well as, the representatives of international organizations participated in the Conference. Fuad Rasulov, Director of Centre for Economic and Business Research and Education, Khazar University, briefed the participants on the macroeconomic situation in Azerbaijan. The head of the Research Center group, Professor Mahammad Nouriyev analyzed details of the results of questionairs conducted within the framework of the project. At the end of the Conference discussions were conducted, some proposals and suggestions were reviewed.
