On January 16-17, 2007 professor Ariff bin Abdul Kareem - Director of Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER), Mr. Quah Boon Huat, Ms. Wong Chay Nee and Mr. Gregore Pio Lopez - fellow researchers, paid a visit to Khazar University within the framework of the project “Strengthening of Macroeconomic Forecasting Capability in Azerbaijan” implemented by Khazar University Center for Economic and Business Research and Education. During the visit there was conducted a workshop summarizing the final results. It was also proposed to apply the experience obtained here in other countries, like Georgia and Kazakhstan.
