Education Commission under the President of Azerbaijan created a special working group with the purpose of enhancing reforms in the field of higher education with regard to integration to modern European and other leading education systems. Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, President of Khazar University, was appointed Chairman of the working group. The Head of Higher Education Department of Ministry of Education Dr. İlham Mustafayev, Eldar Shahgeliyev Chairman of the English Department of Khazar University, and Afqan Abdullayev Dean of the State University of Languages, also participated in the working group. In order to analyze this issue properly, the group met and carried out discussions with leaders of higher education institutions of Azerbaijan.
Meetings were held with senior management of Azerbaijan Technical University on October 4, State Oil Academy on October 5, Baku State University on October 19, Ganja State University, Ganja University of Technology and Ganja Agricultural Academy on October 22.
