Rafig M.Ahmadov became Dean of the School of Architecture, Engineering and Applied Science and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in 1997. Actively involved in university administration. Served on several committees for programs planning, faculty development and resources planning. Administration and coordination, faculty/student recruiting, curriculum development.

He successfully combines administrative acvtivities with teaching. The main lecturing cources are Circuits Theory, Systems and Signals, Electronics.

His research interest is Digital Data Processing Devices for Automatic Control Systems.

R.M.Ahmadov received his Ph.D. degree from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. Before coming to Khazar University, he was Associate Professor at the Department of Automatics, Telecommunications and Electronics of Azerbaijan State Oil Academy.
