She received her Bachelor's/Master’s of Sciences degree from the Azerbaijan State University in 1988.  Durdana Rahimzade has received her PhD degree from Institute of linguistics of ANAS. She gives lectures AZLL 101 Azerbaijan Language, AZLL 105 Azerbaijan Literature for students.
